Majd presents her work at ASH 2024!

I was very fortunate to be invited to give a podium presentation for the Experimental Therapeutics session at the American Society of Hematology annual meeting ASH 2024 in San Diego, CA. The ASH Annual Meeting is one of the largest and most renowned hematology conferences globally, bringing together over 35,000 attendees. Out of more than 7,000 abstract submissions, only the most novel and impactful findings are selected for oral presentations, making this opportunity a significant recognition of the value my research brings to the field.

I was also very excited to receive the ASH abstract achievement award that supports trainees with high-scoring abstracts. Additionally, I was able to attend this meeting by being awarded a GMaP Region 1 North Travel Award, funded by the NCI and the Center for Graduate and Professional Diversity Initiatives at UK professional development award.

I really enjoyed the strong focus on blood malignancies at this meeting compared to others. The meeting size and the relevance of the topics were incredibly beneficial to me. I am very grateful for all the support that allowed me to attend and present at ASH, as well as for the opportunity to learn from so many outstanding researchers.
